The Advanced Safety Features of Honda Sensing Suite
Safety is the top priority of Honda engineers and designers. They work hard to make driving a safer experience. From the improved and sophisticated Honda Sensing Suite to the more classic safety tech features, driving a Honda Civic is the safest it has ever been. There are four main safety features included standard with the Honda Civic and several other Honda Sensing tech features. They are the Collision Mitigation Braking System, the Forward Collision Warning, the Road Departure Mitigation System, and the Lane Departure Warning. Let’s take a closer look at these features. The Collision Mitigation Braking System is designed to constantly monitor obstacles in front of the vehicle while it is driving and engage the brakes when it detects that a collision is imminent. Through this automatic braking process, many collisions can be avoided, or at least diminished in severity. The Forward Collision Warning system works in conjunction with the Collision Mitigation braking system, warning the driver that a forward collision is about to occur using the same detection system. The Road Departure Mitigation System keeps your vehicle in the lane with steering assist. It tracks the lane indicators and can sense if the vehicle is drifting into another lane. If the turn signal is not activated, the vehicle will gently steer the car back into your lane. Finally, the Lane Departure Warning system is designed to warn the driver when this lane drift is occurring. These four features are the main Honda Sensing safety features available on the LX, the lowest trim package, so this is the minimum you will get on a 2023 Honda Civic.Sights, Sounds, and Senses
The interior of every 2023 Honda Civic is carefully crafted to provide a luxurious experience. The multimedia center is packed full of advanced features, making the Civic a pleasurable experience to either drive or ride. It has many options for connectivity, a great multimedia infotainment center, and an available premium sound system. For many of us, our phones contain all of our audio entertainment. Whether you have a favorite podcast you love to listen to on your daily commute, you have an audiobook you’re excited to get through during an upcoming road trip, or you just love having your beloved music on whenever you go for a drive, the Civic can easily connect to your smartphone. The Civic supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Of course, you can also connect some other device, like your old MP3 player, through Bluetooth as well. All the connectivity in the world means little if the speaker system is not up to the task. The Civic has a decent audio system as the default and a premium system available. The premium system is a twelve-speaker system by Bose, who is known for producing exceptionally high quality speakers and premium speaker systems. The quality of the speakers make for an immersive and high-end experience, making it feel like you’re at a live concert. The speakers produce deep, rich bass and clear vocals. The audio system is truly remarkable in the Honda Civic. For navigation, you have several options. You could use the apps on your Apple or Android phone, or you could take advantage of the Civic’s built-in navigation system, which includes the great feature of offline maps. When you are venturing off the beaten path and into realms untouched by cell coverage, you will still be able to get directions, something most navigation apps won’t do. It also has RealTime Traffic, but this feature does require a cell signal. Chances are that if you don’t have a cell signal, you’re far enough away from civilization to not have to worry about traffic, either.
