What is Honda LaneWatch™?

Honda Safety Sensing

Looking for a new vehicle that will provide the safest possible drives for you and your family in Minot? An automaker with a comprehensive safety suite for its models is a great place to start. Virtually all new Honda models, including the 2020 Pilot and 2020 Civic Sedan, come equipped with the Honda Sensing® suite. This package of innovative active driver-assist features use sensors to predict possible collisions, and then employ steering and braking corrections to avoid dangerous driving situations.

Read below for details about LaneWatch™, a technology feature that comes in the Honda Sensing® suite. Along with other Honda Sensing® features, LaneWatch™ helps Bismarck drivers see and sense more of what’s on the road.

How Does Honda LaneWatch™ Work?

Similar to a blind spot monitoring system, LaneWatch™ gains extra passenger-side visibility for Devils Lake drivers. Honda models with LaneWatch™ sport a camera installed just below the passenger side mirror. Here’s how it works:

  1. As you engage the right turn signal, the LaneWatch™ camera activates automatically.
  2. The camera sends visuals to your vehicle’s central infotainment display screen.
  3. Check the LaneWatch™ visual for an unobstructed view of your blind spot while you keep your eyes on the road. Whether you’re making a speedy Devils Lake commute, or deep in downtown Dickinson traffic, choosing the right moment to change lanes is easy with  LaneWatch™.
  4. To manually activate the LaneWatch™ camera, push the button on the end of your Honda vehicle’s turn signal control stick.
  5. To deactivate the system, press the button on the turn signal control stick again.

Always keep in mind that Honda LaneWatch™ is a safety enhancement and not a substitute for safe driving practices!

Changing the Settings on Honda LaneWatch™

Honda LaneWatch™ allows you to customize settings to match your preferred driving style. Follow these steps to choose your settings:

  1. Select Settings on the HOME screen.
  2. Choose Camera.
  3. Choose LaneWatch™.
  4. Make your preferred changes.
  5. Press BACK to exit.

Which Models Offer Honda LaneWatch™?
